Features

Everything a service business needs to keep its books.

Invoices, money owed, expenses and reports, all started from WhatsApp. Each group below says which plan it begins on.

Raise invoices and get paid

From Starter
  • Type “invoice Sharma Traders 25,000 for website design” on WhatsApp. The GST invoice comes back as a PDF to forward to your customer. Or raise it on the web with as many lines as you need.
  • Give only your customer's GST number. Ledgior fetches their registered name, address and state from the GST register, so you never type an address. The state decides IGST or CGST and SGST automatically, and the place of supply is right on the invoice. Your own GST number fills your business details the same way when you sign up.
  • Invoice numbers in a proper series, every particular the rules ask for, with your bank details and branding printed on it.
  • Every invoice becomes money owed to you automatically, with a ledger per customer. Ask “who owes me?” or “how much does Sharma owe?” any time.
  • “Received 25,000 from Sharma” settles that invoice. Part payments, money received with TDS cut, and advances before an invoice are each recorded correctly.
  • Hindi, Hinglish or English, typed or spoken, including amounts said in words like “dedh lakh” and “paanch sau”.

Record what you spend

From Starter
  • Send a photo or PDF of a bill. It is read, checked (totals and tax must add up) and booked to the right head, with the GST credit set aside when you can claim it.
  • Or just say it: “paid 1,200 for internet”, a voice note in Hindi, or several things in one message. Each is booked, or you are asked.
  • Cash, UPI or bank, said once and recorded right. One ledger per thing you pay for, so office rent and shop rent are separate, created the first time you mention it.
  • Rent, EMIs, card bills and salaries are asked once on the day they fall due. A staff advance comes off the next salary.
  • Change or delete any entry. Nothing is silently overwritten.

Your books, always ready

From Starter
  • Day book, ledgers, profit and loss and trial balance on your phone and the web. Ask on WhatsApp for “sales this month”, “expenses this month” or “bank balance”.
  • A standard chart of accounts is set up for your business the moment you join. No setup.
  • Export to Excel.

Your sales and purchases, ready for your GST return

From Basic
  • Every month your GSTR-1 as an Excel workbook in the GST Offline Tool's own format: import it, check it, and upload it with your OTP. The GSTR-3B figures sit beside it. A JSON file is available too, marked Beta.
  • Ask “what is my GST this month?” on WhatsApp and the answer comes from the same figures the return uses.
  • Record the acknowledgement number after you file, on the web or by sending it on WhatsApp, and the month is closed. You file on the GST portal yourself; Ledgior does not log in there for you.
